Mrs. Rawls passed away Monday, July 9, 2018 at the age of 90. She was born on September 10, 1927. Mrs. Rawls lived her entire life in the areas surrounding Old Floyd and Darnell in West Carroll Parish where she impacted the lives of countless students throughout her decades of teaching school. More importantly, she worked alongside her husband of fifty-nine years, Alfred L. Rawls, on their farm raising tomatoes, peaches, and other produce, as well as a small herd of cattle. Mrs. Rawls exemplified the importance of unconditional love, hard work, and dedication to her family and others around her throughout her life. Even though she was limited by poor health in her final years, Mrs.

Mrs. Rawls is preceded in death by her husband, Alfred L. Rawls; father, James Paul Gentry; mother, Minnie Viola Smith Gentry; brothers, James Hershel Gentry and Pete Gentry; sisters Sarah Pauline Eaton and Allah Lee Kilpatrick.

 Survivors include her 2-sons, Alfred Rawls, Jr. and wife, Lyde of Darnell, LA. and Leland George Rawls and wife, Judy of Farmerville, LA; 3-grandchildren, Meg Rawls of Dallas, TX., Chip Rawls of Bastrop, LA.
