Helen Eleanor Lower, 89, of Great Falls, MT, passed away May 24, 2015 at Ruby House of natural causes.

Helen was born on November 9, 1925 in Great Falls, MT to Alfred and Ida Ludtke. She grew up in Ulm, MT, attending public school in Great Falls, and graduated from Great Falls High School. Helen was a stenographer, and started work at Standard Furniture in Great Falls in 1944 through 1946, when she married John W. Lower. They moved to Helena, where she worked two sessions in the Legislature. Their next move was to Redwood City, CA where she worked for the Chamber of Commerce, and later settled in San Jose, CA for the next 25 years. She returned to Montana after the death of her husband.

Helen enjoyed sewing, was an avid gardener, and loved canning the fruits of her labor.

Survivors include her two sisters Beverly J. Steen of Great Falls and Emily J. Adams of Seattle, WA; numerous nieces and nephews.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband John, sister Edith M. Hinebauch, and brother Vernon E. Ludtke.
