Helen Claire Brower, 91, of New Buffalo, Michigan died Sunday morning, April 15, 2012 at Jordan’s Nursing Home in Bridgman. Claire was born May 3, 1920 in Chicago, Illinois to George and Mary (McGuire) Kercher. Following graduation, Claire worked at International Harvester for eight years. Claire married Donald Brower in 1958.
She was a care giver her whole life, and enjoyed caring for children and loved ones. She attended St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church.Survivors include her son, Steve Brower of New Buffalo; her granddaughter, Jaime Nicole Brower; great-granddaughter Brook Forrester; nephews: Tom Rockwell and James Rockwell; niece, Debbie Hines; and five great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald, her grandson Jason, her sisters Dorothy and Marietta and her niece Sue Hines.
