Helen A. Carson, 95, of New Buffalo, Michigan, died Monday, June 12, 2006 at Miller’s Merry Manor in New Carlisle, Indiana.Mrs. Carson was born September 24, 1910 in Chicago to Albert and Marie (Kosina) Pisarik. After graduating from high school, she completed 2 years of Business College. On June 16, 1934, she married Anton J. Carson in Chicago, and in 1935, they moved to Michigan to make their home in New Buffalo. Mrs. Carson was employed most of her life.
In Chicago she worked in an insurance office, later at Kingsbury Munitions in LaPorte, Indiana, Turnbuckle’s in Grand Beach, Michigan and Carson Pirie Scott at the Marquette Mall in Michigan City. Mrs. Carson was loving, caring, hardworking and a very independent woman.Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Dewey (Nancy) Bicard of Buchanan, Michigan; grandchildren, Randy Bicard, Rod Bicard, Rhonda Billingsley, Renee Bicard, Toni Ann Carson, LeAnna Hansen, Richard “Rick” Carson, and Anthony Carson Jr.; step grandchildren, Jerry Allen and Jamie Hall; 20 great grandchildren; Daughter-in-law Pavana Carson of Fort Walton Beach, Florida and nephews, George Vesely of Three Oaks and Tony J. Vesely of California.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1983; sons, Anthony Carson in 1996 and Richard Carson in 1994; grandson, Patrick Carson in 1964 great grandchildren, Zane Carson Hansen and Heather Billingsley and her sister Marcella Vesely.
