WERKMAN, Helen C. passed away on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011. She was born July 29, 1921, in Detroit, MI, the daughter of the late John and Catherine Lis Zieba, and sister to Edward and Stanley Zieba, who also preceded her in death.
Helen was married to Martin E. Werkman for 43 years until his passing in 1986.
She is survived by their two children, Russell Nancy Werkman of Portage and Lynette Jim Taylor of Brighton; as well as four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren by marriage. Throughout her life, Helen devoted herself to the love and care of her family. She was a strong, independent, and intelligent woman who valued the gift of life and found great joy in the beauty of God’s creations.
