Died peacefully at her home August 2, 2015. Wilma was born May 31, 1920 in Holland MI, the daughter of Henry & Ada (Boeve) Bonselaar. As a young woman, she was proud to have worked at Hamilton’s Jewelry Store in Kalamazoo. On October 25, 1946 she was united in marriage to her loving husband, John H. Bultje. She was the owner of Sally’s Clothes Closet & enjoyed many buying trips to New York City. After raising her 3 children, she returned to clothing retail, working at Parchment Department Store & EastTown Bootery & Apparel.

She & John lived over 50 years in Parchment, and for 10 of those happy years she was privileged to be the mayor’s wife. She and John were active members of Parchment Christian Reformed Church and more recently of Second Christian Reformed Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John, on June 24, 2006; parents; brothers, Julius & Elmer Bonselaar, and sister, Josephine Razenberg.

Surviving are three children, Karen Cowels of Kalamazoo, Ronald (Cheryl) Bultje of Grand Haven, and Deborah Northrup of Kalamazoo; six grandchildren, Cassandra (Jeffrey) Haspas, Crystal Bultje, Aaron (Lauren) Delgaty, Max Northrup, Lisa Grimes, and Richelle Bultje; two great-grandchildren, Lilly & Landon Grimes; sister, Hester Koning; brother-in-law, John Razenberg; sister-in-law, Virginia Spitters; and many nieces & nephews.

Wilma was a kind & generous soul, always with a bright smile, who enjoyed many years of baking for others & sending cards to let others know she was thinking of them. She will be dearly missed.
