Our loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Helen A. Gibson Fletcher passed away on December 1, 2016 of cause’s incident to age. She was born on April 16, 1923 to Fred Gibson and Marybelle Layton Gibson. She married Robert S. Fletcher on January 27, 1947, and the marriage was later solemnized in Salt Lake LDS temple on May 12, 1964. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and was a member of the Layton 9th ward; and later the Chancellor Gardens Assisted Living Branch. She worked at the Ogden Arsenal during World War II and later at the Beehive House in Salt Lake City, retiring in 1986.
She is survived by her children, Nancy D. Parkinson (Brent), Joan R. Blodgett (Stephen), Merry E. Paceley (Russell), C.J. Burkett (Ralph), and her sister-in law, May Gibson. She has 7 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family who love her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 4 brothers, and 3 sisters.
