New Franklin – Helen Kukasky, 93, passed away Sunday January 10, 2016.
Helen was born May 1, 1922 to Adam and Susan (Straugh) Gretta in Keisterville, PA and has been an Akron area resident since 1936. She was a faithful and involved member of St. John Lutheran Church, participating in nearly every church ministry or event. She was a beautician with the Pamper Parlor and was employed by McDonalds in her later years.
Helen was preceded in death by her beloved husband Paul; siblings George, John, Frank, Melvin, Robert and James Gretta and Evelyn Pantages and is survived by her children Sue Ellen (Tom) Goodwin, Paul A. (Connie), David (Barb) and Gerald (Elaine) Kukasky and Elaine (Fred) Teaman; grandchildren David and Steven Kukasky and Patrick Goodwin; siblings Alma Manuszak, Jeanne (Rev. Harold) Schewe and Richard Gretta.
