Helen Ann (Dickinson) Wethington, 88 of Centralia, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital.

She was born March 29, 1928 in Centralia, daughter of Ernest Dickinson and Vulah (Phelps) Dickinson. She married Richard L. Wethington on July 3, 1948 and he survives in Centralia.

In addition to her husband of 68 years, she is also survived by two daughters and two sons: Marsha Shepard of Oglesby, son: Richard B. Wethington and wife Debbie of Centralia, daughter: Linda Moore of Centralia, and a son: Mike Wethington of Centralia; five grandchildren: Jennifer Heredia and husband Hugo, Butch Shepard and wife Missy, Chris Wethington, John Wethington and wife AshLee and Nicole Moore of Centralia; 10 great-grandchildren: a sister: Dorothy Rollinson of Centralia; sister-in-law Mary Harvey and husband Bill of Springfield, IL., several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers: Martin “Mike” Dickinson, Jim Dickinson, and Ernest Dickinson, 3 sisters: Joan Hart and husband Bud, Kathleen Johnson and husband Melvin, and Pat Foltz, a special son-in-law, Butch Shepard, a brother-in-law: Dean Wethington and wife Janet, sister-in-law: Pauline Sanders and husband Ermil.

Helen was a factory worker at Hollywood Brands and a homemaker. She loved singing and playing the piano. She was a talented artist and avid lover of musicals, especially The All Night Sing at the high school. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family and friends.
