Tommy was born January 19, 1925 in Wilmington, North Carolina to Dr.

Pop proudly served as a Sergeant in the Army Air Force, 93rd Bombardment group during World War II. He served overseas as a waist gunner on a B24 based in London, England. While on leave he met his future wife at the USO in Nashville, TN.  He asked her “if she would be tickled to death to dance with him.” She agreed, and they danced through their marriage for 65 years.

He earned his Doctor of Pharmacy from University of Tennessee, Memphis in December 1950 and served as a pharmaceutical representative and a clinical pharmacist. He originated the pharmacy at Newell Hospital which later became Downtown General Hospital in Chattanooga, TN where he served as the pharmacist for many years.

Tommy and Bonny Jean owned and operated Hidden Hollow Resort near Chickamauga, GA. where they made many friends that were their guests from all over the country.

Pop’s joy and positive attitude was contagious and continues to make us all better people.

His favorite Bible verse was Luke 10:27 “ And He answering said, ‘Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbor as thyself.’”
