We are celebrating the life of Hazel Tanner, age 82 years young. She went to be with our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 15, 2014. She was born on October 7, 1931 in Trion, Georgia.
Hazel was a Christian woman and a beloved member of the Church of God of the Union Assembly. She has been a blessing in many ways and in many areas such as Arizona, Texas, Indiana as well as here in Georgia. She was greeted in heaven by her two children, Patsy and Lamar Tanner; and by her granddaughter, Savannah Deegear, as well as many relatives and loved ones.
She was a loving wife to her surviving husband of 63 years, James H. Tanner; she was also a wonderful mother to her son, Terry Tanner and wife Sharon from Miami, AZ; 2 daughters, Jo Collins and her husband John from Dalton, GA, Annetta Deegear and her husband Mark; she had 2 brothers, Doyle Jones and his wife Carolyn from Summerville and Melvin Jones from Summerville, GA; 2 sisters, Louise Haney and her husband Fred from Cartersville, GA and Mildred Haney from Cartersville as well; she also had 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Hazel has 2 very special friends that needs to be named, Mary Hall and Imogene Epperson.
