Hazel ‘Ninny” Cannon, 90, of Trussville, AL entered fully into the presence of the Lord and reunited with her husband of 61 years, James “Buck” Cannon, on July 12, 2022. Her Christian faith was the essential part of her life. She joined Huffman Baptist Church in 1955 where she faithfully served for 67 years. Hazel enjoyed every moment spent with her family. Her summers were spent with her husband, Buck, and six granddaughters taking trips to the lake, Dollywood, and six Flags. After retiring from Cannon Custom Drapes, her drapery business of 44 years, she continued to serve in ministry with “We Sew Love” making children’s clothing items for missions. Hazel was best known for her love for people that left a lasting impact on everyone who met her.

Her legacy continues through her daughter, Cherie Wentzell (Philip); son, Michael Cannon (Susan); grandchildren, Jennifer Neely, Julie Woods, Tonya Taylor (Bryan), Jana Flinkow (Will), Amy Brandon (Justin), Christina Cannon, Lacey Schepman (Jared), and Logan Brown; great grandchildren, Hannah (Broderick), Philip Todd (Ashley), Ryan Cameron, Alexa, Blaze, Jameson, Anna Beth, Holder, Abby, Emme Louise, Jacob, and Noah; her great great Granddaughter, Bentley; and her sister, Ellen Logan.
