Hazel was born the daughter of William and Serdenia Babcock Lawrence on November 11, 1912 in Tyre, New York. She worked at Hickox then General Electric and retiring from Newark Developmental Center in Newark. Hazel was a member of the Newark United Methodist Church.
Hazel is survived by her sister Doris Juffs of Newark; nieces Sherry Juffs of Newark and Bonnie (Donald) LaGas of Savannah; nephew Clarence Juffs Jr. of Holley; three great nieces Michelle (David) Donk, Tami (Mark) Mundy and Darcy (David) Greco; seven great great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
