Hazel was born on May 21, 1908 in Texico to John E and Willa Havenhill Bingham. Hazel enjoyed life to the fullest, from working in the fields and gardens, any new craft that came along she would have to master it. She also enjoyed travel and she and Orris had been from Alaska to Mexico on many fishing trips.
