Hattie M. Marquardt, of Bay City, passed away suddenly on Monday March 5, 2012 at McLaren Bay Region, age 78. The daughter of the late Fred & Martha (Feldt) Ratz, she was born May 2, 1933 in Ossineke, MI. Hattie was a member of St. Bartholomew Ev. Lutheran Church. She was retired from Eaton Manufacturing. On June 7, 1952 Hattie married Carl W. Marquardt and he survives her along with their three sons, David (Kay) Marquardt of Kawkawlin, Terry Marquardt of Bay City and Dennis (Donna) Marquardt of Myrtle Beach, SC; two grandchildren, Jason (ChiYong) Marquardt of Haysville, KS and Lorie Thomas of Bay City; two great-grandchildren, Paige & Peyton Marquardt; a sister, Adeline (Don) Francis of Ossineke; three sisters-in-law, Phyllis Ratz of Ossineke, and Gloria Marquardt and Marge Marquardt, both of Bay City; one brother-in-law, Bill Knaub of Bay City; and many nieces & nephews.
