Harvey was surrounded by his family as he passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at Covenant HealthCare – Harrison. He was 91 years old. Harvey LeRoy Talcott, Jr. was born on February 27, 1928 in Fulda, Minnesota to the late Harvey LeRoy Sr. and Cora (Addy) Talcott. Harvey was raised in Fulda, Minnesota and then proudly served his country with the United States Army. Upon his honorable discharge, he returned to Fulda to help his dad on the family farm. In the early 1960’s, he started working for Greeley Gas Company as a line repairman. He retired as a Regional Gas Line Repairman from Peoples’ Natural Gas Company in 1990 after over 30 years of service. He loved to travel; enjoying many family camping trips, visiting many national parks, museums and all of the 50 states.
He will be deeply missed by his wife, Rosemary, who he married on August 14, 1965. His children: Suzi (Tim) Berg, Dawn (Neil) Joseph, Launa (Jim) Gauquie, Dave (Verna) Talcott, Chris (Jon) Kulak and Lisa (Daryl) Gotham; grandchildren: Jessalyn (Jesse) Bengtson, Brennan Berg and Tyde Berg, Kayla Joseph, Shea and Alyssa Talcott, Colton Kulak, Nolan and Brady Gotham; four great grandchildren: Tyler Bengtson, Rhys Bengtson, Breck Bengtson, and Remy Bengtson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a beloved aunt, Bertha Addy, and a dear cousin, Zona Meyer.
According to Harvey’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
Harvey’s cremated remains will be laid to rest in Oak Hill Cemetery, South St. Paul, Minnesota.
