Harvey S. Ferguson, Jr., age 91 was called to meet the Lord on Friday, July 21, 2017. He was born July 9, 1926 in East Shinnston, WV; the son of the late Harvey S. Ferguson, Sr. and Ercell Waldeck (Butcher) Ferguson.
Many will remember Harvey as the owner/operator of the Clarksburg Bicycle Shop. He retired as the equipment room operator at Anchor Hocking Glass.
An avid sports fan, Harvey enjoyed anything old gold and blue from football, men’s and women’s basketball to baseball, he cheered for all WVU sports. Harvey also loved the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Steelers.
Harvey was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a member of the local American Legion and a lifetime member of the Moose. Harvey was a member of the United Methodist Temple, where he held several positions on various committees.
Harvey is survived by his daughter, Ronay Ferguson Tenney and her husband, Kevin; a son, Donald Ferguson & his wife, Martha Ann; five grandchildren, Allyson Tenney, Kristin Tenney, Megan Tenney, William Ferguson and Emma Ferguson.
In addition to his parents, Harvey is preceded in death by his loving wife, Rose Columbia (DaFazio) Ferguson.
