Rev. Harvey Butler, age 82, of Green Forest, AR. went home to be with the Lord on June 29, 2010. He was born in Carroll County on November 22, 1927 to the late Roscoe and LuVena Youngblood Butler. On April 6, 1947 he married Ina Faye Nance. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during WW II and was a member of Green Forest Jordan Davis Legion (Post # 162) where he served as chaplain. Harvey pioneered and pastured churches in Arkansas and Idaho, was a member of Oak Grove Free Will Baptist Church and an avid supporter of the church youth camp. He was a former businessman in Carroll County. He is survived by his wife Ina Faye Butler of the home, daughters, Shirl Bennett and husband Les, of Twin Falls, Idaho, Carolyn Wilson, of Branson, MO, Terri Williamson and husband Eric, of Green Forest, one son Mark Butler and wife Elena of Twin Falls, ID. sisters, Elzie Ferguson, of Green Forest, Mary Smith and husband Marvin, of Red Bluff, Calif., brothers, Bob Butler and wife Janice, of Mt Vernon, MO, George Butler and wife Norma, of Eureka Springs, Joe Butler and wife Connie, of Filer ID, 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Sherri Butler and brother, Rev. Floyd Butler.
