Harvey James Pressley, 83, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2016 surrounded by family, after a long battle with dementia.

Harvey was born on June 8, 1932, in Charlotte, NC, to the late James Wiley Pressley and Tursey Mae Pressley. Harvey was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving during the Korean War. During the war he was stationed in San Antonio, TX caring for wounded troops returning from battle. During Harvey’s career he worked for P.C. Godfrey, Inc. as superintendent of large commercial plumbing, heating and air projects. He then worked for Presbyterian Hospital as property maintenance supervisor until his retirement. Harvey was known for his sweet, friendly, and jovial demeanor. Harvey loved the Lord and taught Sunday School in his younger days. He read the Bible every day and had a real passion for the teachings of the Revelation and the coming of the Lord.

Predeceased by his wife, Patricia Ann Pressley, he is survived by his two children, Jill Trotta (Paul) and Randy Pressley (Kathy); his three grandchildren, Amanda Davis; Troy and Scott Pressley; his two step-grandchildren, Stefanie Hendrix (Brad) and Chris Trotta.
