Harvey Fost, 87, passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2014, at Saint Alphonsus Hospital, surrounded by his family. He was born in Miles City, Montana, on July 12, 1927 to Otto and Leila Fost. Harvey was one of six children and was preceded in death by all except for a younger brother, Richard Fost and his wife, Margie, of Tacoma, Washington.
Harvey spent his life working in the mining and construction industry. After retiring in the early 80’s, he and Anna enjoyed many bus tours throughout the west. Harvey was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying camping, hunting and fishing, as well as following college and pro football, especially BSU. Though he did not play golf, he loved watching it. In his later years, Harvey took up bowling and participated in several leagues. He was always thrilled to have a 200 game.
Harvey is survived by his wife, Anna, of 62 years; his daughter, Cheryl Fost-Bessaw and her husband, John, of Boise; his son, Gary Fost and his wife, Kerry, of Boise; his son, David and his wife, Lynda, of Bandon, Oregon; his daughter, Linda Fost, of Boise; and five grandchildren, Morgan and Nick Bessaw, Jill Fost, and Logan and Josh Perez.
