Harry William Suggs, Jr. passed away at his home in Fort Walton Beach, Florida on February 18, 2013 at the age of 69.
Affectionately nicknamed, “Butch,” he is preceded in death by his father, Harry William Suggs, Sr. and his son, James Everett Suggs.
Butch is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Rennee Hart Suggs.
Butch is warmly remembered by his children, Leslie, Randa, Diana, Charlene, Erin and Katherine. He is also survived by his mother Dorothy Shields, his sisters, nieces and nephews; as well as his six grandchildren.
The family would like to express their recognition to his Nephew, Rick Watkins who was loved like a son and here for Butch during his illness.
Butch was born on North Island Naval Station, California on October 26, 1943. He grew up in the Southeast and joined the United States Air Force after he finished school. After serving twenty years in the military he retired and settled in Fort Walton Beach.
Butch enjoyed cross country motorcycling, boating, NASCAR, and working on any type of engine. Butch was a family man who truly enjoyed seeing smiles on the faces of the people he loved and admired most. He was a man who knew exactly how to make a person feel special.
