Harry Russell Barna (Harry News), 57, of Toms River, NJ, passed away Friday, July 21, 2017 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born in Jersey City, NJ, he was a longtime resident of Jersey City before moving to Toms River 4 years ago. Harry worked for many years in the Delivery Department for Hudson County News, the Daily News then the New York Times for many years.
He was predeceased by his parents Gregory and Olga Barna and his brother Gregory Barna. Harry is survived by his brother and sister-in-law Paul and Karen Barna of Seaside Park, NJ, a sister-in-law Rona Barna of Freehold, NJ, his nieces and nephews Gregory Barna and his wife Jen of Tenafly, NJ, Jennifer Barna of Seaside Park, NJ, Alison Photis and her husband Matt of Freehold, NJ and Paul Barna and his wife Erin of Toms River, and four great nieces and a nephew Megan, Sophia, Julia and Nicholas. Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 809 Central Ave., Seaside Park, NJ, is in charge of the arrangements.
