Harry P. Wagner, 75, of Bethlehem, died Friday, Sept. 20, 2013, at VNA Hospice House of St. Luke’s in Lower Saucon Twp. He was the husband of Theresa M. (Spadaccia) Wagner for 57 years. He was born in Bethlehem on Nov. 5, 1937 to the late Martin H. and Anna (Pulley) Wagner. He was a 1955 graduate of Bethlehem Technical High School, where he served as class president. He was in the Army National Guard, from 1955-1961, where he was honored as soldier of the year in 1956. Harry worked for the Bethlehem Steel, Bethlehem Fabricators, and the Allentown Metal Works for over 50 years where he worked in the area as a Master Electrician. Later, he worked as a self employed electrical contractor. He was a member of the former Our Lady of Pompeii Church and currently a member of Ss. Simon and Jude Catholic Church, Bethlehem. Harry was an avid basketball player. He played for over 20 years in the organized Bethlehem City League and in 1963 captured the A League championship playing for Higbee A.C. He also spent 17 years performing in his daughter Melanie Wagner’s Dance School Recitals in the men’s group called “The Dropouts”. His biggest love were his grandchildren of whom he spent many priceless hours with. Survivors: In addition to his wife Theresa, are sons Harry P. Wagner, Jr. and his wife Kelly of Bethlehem, Mark A. Wagner, of Evanston, IL; grandchildren Alyssa, Krysta, Briana and Matthew; brothers Robert Wagner and wife Barbara of Center Valley, John Wagner and wife Anne of Gypsum, KS. He was predeceased by his daughter, Melanie Wagner, on Dec.16, 1994, and brother William.
