Harry Ernest Orschler, age 90, longtime resident of Fairfield, beloved husband of 65 years to Frances Orschler, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 20, 2021 in Bridgeport Hospital. Born June 14, 1930 in New York, NY, he was the son of the late Joseph and Matilda Orschler. Harry worked as a dental sales representative for the H. L. Hayden Company for 40 years. Harry was an avid sailor and lifetime member of the Fayerweather Yacht Club. He enjoyed sailing and rafting up in Port Jefferson with family and club members on weekends. Harry also loved the club sponsored regattas during the summer months. He enjoyed reading about American History, listening to classical music, and having discussions with his grandsons about what was happening in their lives. Harry was a passionate NY Yankee and Green Bay Packers fan. He also treasured the time spent on the many cruises to Bermuda with his friends. He also cherished the many pets he had in his lifetime. In addition to his beloved wife, Frances, Harry is survived by his three devoted children, Victoria Pelham, Elisabeth Rothchild and her husband Jerrold, and Scott Orschler and his companion, Emily Hyde; two adored grandsons, Mathew and Benjamin Rothchild; two loving stepsisters, Kitty Ferrero, and Julie Haskell; as well as his feline friend Tobey. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Harry’s longtime caregiver, Rebecca.
