Harry Bryer, 94, of Wellington, Florida, went to be with the Lord on November 18, 2021.

Harry was born and raised in Whitestone, New York. After serving in the military, he moved to Commack, New York in 1957 where he lived until moving to Florida in 1984.

Harry was a true patriot enlisting in the United States Navy at the age of 17 and serving during World War II and the Korean War. During World War II, Harry served in the Pacific theater aboard the USS Franklin “Big Ben,” and survived a kamikaze attack while he was on deck. After the war, Harry studied to be an electrician and joined the IBEW Local #25. He worked in residential construction for Newbridge Electric for over 35 years.

Harry was a talented photographer and artist. He loved Betty Boop and also enjoyed watching old war movies, rooting for the Miami Marlins and Florida Panthers, building scenery for his model HO trains, and returning to the ocean during many pleasure cruises.

He instilled in his family a strong sense of patriotism and love for this country. Spending time with family and friends was important to him and he loved reminiscing about his days in the Navy.

Harry was the loving husband of Rosemary for the last 48 years, beloved father of Linda Bryer (Lou Tribunella), Kenneth Bryer, Karen Miranda (Charles), Kerry Dykes (Clifford), Kelly Squires, Kimberly West (Jeffrey), and Diana Galloway (Donald); adored Poppy of Charles Miranda III (Laura), Corey DeAgro, Christopher Miranda, Curtis Dykes, Sara Squires, Carter Dykes, Kevin Squires, Rebekah Galloway, Luke Galloway, and Adam Galloway; cherished great-grandfather of Emma DeAgro, Charlotte Dykes, and Scarlett Schmidt; dear brother of Walter Bryer (Paula); brother-in-law to Anne Smith, Walter and Georgette Dzubiak, and Helen Bryer. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Harry was preceded in death by his first wife Charlotte Bryer, his parents Harry and Grace Bryer, brother Robert Bryer; and brother-in-law Newton Behegan.
