Harriet L. Scherzinger, 97, of Calumet City, Illinois, passed peacefully on October 13, 2016.
Born on All Saints Day, November 1, 1918, she was a strong, wise, and loving woman who made friends easily and kept them and her family close to her heart. Married to Robert Scherzinger (deceased), she left behind loving daughters Roberta (Bill) Richards, Cherie (Don) Lorenzen, and Gayle (Tom) Passo, devoted grandchildren Don (Kristen) Lorenzen, Dawn (Pat) Aubert, Lisa (Danny) Egan, Jodi (Bill) Popek, Tom Semones, and Bill (Sherry) Passo, adoring great-grandchildren Danny, Derrick, Danielle, Julia, Sarah, Katherine, Brian, Natalie, Nick, Luke and Mark, and scores of nieces and nephews all of whom will miss her deeply.
She was preceded in death by her beloved mother and father, Lena and William Toomey, her brothers George, Bill, Melvin and Elliott Toomey, and her sisters Mildred Ruby and Eleanor Bateman, along with her great friends Clara Plys and Joe Kubiak who together welcome her to the Kingdom of God.
