Harriet Delores Brown, 65 of North East, MD, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 2, 2014.
A lifelong resident of Cecil County, she was born in Elkton, on July 7, 1949, the daughter of the late Harry and the late Ethelwyn (Johnson) Brown.
Harriet retired from Aberdeen Proving Ground with over 30 years of service in Processing.
A member of St. Mark’s AUMP Church, Harriet served as the Finance and Correspondence Secretary.
She was an artist and a writer; enjoyed playing cards, reading mystery and romance novels and was a very good cook. She loved her pets, Sid the Chow, Leo the cat and Tasha the Chesapeake Bay pup. Most of all, she was the Matriarch of the family and loved everyone very much and cherished the time she spent with them.
Left to cherish her memory is her son: Damon Lee Brown (Laurel); and 2 grandchildren: Rachel Sweetman and James Jianniney all of North East, MD; her siblings: Cedric Brown of Elkton, MD, Milton Brown of North East, MD, Dwight Brown (Patricia) of Corpus Christi, TX, Malcolm Brown (Lucille) of Newark, DE, Kenneth Brown of Elkton, MD, Diana Thompson (Donald) of Perryville, MD, Theresa Walker of Roy, UT and Mark Brown of Elkton, MD; 3 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, aunts and uncles.
