Harold Wayne “Bubba” Tubbs, 53, Middletown, passed away March 12, 2011 at St. Johns Health System, Anderson Indiana after a brief illness.

He was born November 25, 1957 in Camden, Tennessee. Bubba was a truck driver for over forty years. As a young man he worked in logging with his father, Grady Lee Tubbs. Bubbs was a gentle giant of a man who deeply loved his wife, Molly; his mother, Marion; his black lab, Rescue; and life in the country. The farm in Middletown became home four years ago. There he relished the joys of watching distant fireworks or nearby fireflies on a summer night and the simple pleasures of a backyard garden and orchard. Friends always felt welcome. The farm was also a haven for rescued animals. Horses, dogs, cats, ducks and fish found comfort in Bubba and Molly’s care and gave comfort in return.

Bubba is survived by his wife whom he married in 1989, Molly Gunason-Tubbs; mother, Marion Lynn Holland Tubbs of Middletown; sister-in-law, Sharon Gunason-Pottinger Morris of Caithness, Scotland; brother-in-law, Michael Susan Wisely Gunason of Carmel; niece, Kate Kasserman and great-nephew, Joseph Krause of Chicago.
