Harold (Hal) Traylor went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 23rd at the age of 76. He is survived by his wife of 53 years. Jean, two daughters, Catherine (Thomas) of New York and Mary-Lou of Flagstaff, 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandsons. He was proceeded in death by his parents Mary Jo (Kerr) Traylor and W.B. Traylor.

Hal was born and raised in Wedowee, Alabama. He joined the Navy as a Naval Aviation Cadet and earned his wings in 1956. He flew off carriers during the Viet Nam War and earned 6 Air Medals, the Navy Unit Commendation, National Defense Service medal, Armed forces Expeditionary Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with device, and the Republic of Vietnam Armed Forces Meritorious Unit Citation (Gallantry Cross). He retired from the Navy as a Lt. Cmdr. after 20 years. For the next 14 years he worked for Hughes Aircraft Company as a Project Manager. While working at Hughes he earned his Master of Business Administration Degree from California State University/Dominguez Hills.

When he and Jean had both retired they moved to Flagstaff in 1992. Hal was a member of Trinity Heights United Methodist Church, Aspen Valley Golf Club, The Mended Hearts and Flagstaff Elks Lodge #499.
