Harold Slayton “Buck” Wood, Jr., age 77, passed away Monday, February 10, 2020 at his home in Newnan surrounded by family. He was born on September 16, 1942 to the late Harold S. Wood, Sr. and Marjorie Bromley Wood. Buck was an Air Traffic Controller for 38 years and served his country in the United States Air Force. He loved to fish, shoot skeet and shoot trap. He also enjoyed training service dogs, read books and above all else share his testimony. He will be missed by his friends and family. Along with his parents, Buck is preceded in death by his brother Steve Wood. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Neal Wood; children, Tracy Cooper, Jennifer Young and her husband Jonathan, Matt Wood, Michael Wood and his wife Stephanie; grandchildren, Courtney Brawner and her husband Wes, Baylie Young, Mason Young, Aubrey Wood; great grandchildren, Ansley Wood and Tanner Wood. He is also survived by his sister Marjo Benton and her husband Frank.
