Harold R. Brake 78 of Salem, passed away on Monday, March 12, 2012, at his home. He was born on September 7, 1933, in Peru, KS.
He was the son of Raymond and Leida (Fling) Brake. He married Patricia “Pat” Bradley on January 22, 1956, at Barr Christian Church. Mr. Brake is survived by his wife and a Son Keith Brake and his Wife Sondra of Clay City; a brother, Kenneth Brake, and his wife Barbara of Centralia. Grandchildren: Charlie Brake and wife Jessica of Clay City; Adam Moseley and Wife Tiffany of Clay City; Crystal Lewis and husband Miles of Flora; Dustin Moseley and special friend Brittany Olney; Deanna Brake of Clay City. Zachary Brake and Lucretia Halfacre and of MO; Great-Grandchildren: Payton Brake and Olivia Moseley. A Mother-In-Law Mary Bradley; and several nieces and nephews. Mr.
Brake was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Tommy Lee Brake; two daughters; two brothers: Lenard Brake and Edward Brake. Mr. Brake was a Production Supervisor and Pumper in the oil fields. He worked in the oil fields for 63 years. He was a member of the Zion Hill Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the Army where he served two years in Germany.
