Harold Ray Arthurs, 75, of Troutman, passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Iredell County on April 5, 1936, the son of the late James Marvin and Nellie Wilson Arthurs. He was married to the former Dorothy Miller on July 30, 1966. He graduated from Troutman High School and Kings Business College and retired from Burlington Industries, as a lab technician, after 44 years of service.
Harold was a lifetime member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church where he served in many capacities and attended as long as his health permitted.
He was also a member of the Campbell Masonic Lodge #374 in Troutman and served for three terms as “Master”, two terms as “DDGL” and two terms as “DDGM”. He was a recipient of the Joseph Montford award and a past patron of Adah Chapter #258.
