AYRES, Mr. Harold R., Kalamazoo, MI. Died Tuesday morning March 29, 2011 at his residence. Harold was born June 10, 1930 in Angola, Indiana a son of Willis and Mary Cambron Ayres. He had been a Kalamazoo area resident most of his life and was employed with the James River Corporation for 25 years, retiring in 1987. Harold loved playing golf and antiquing, and working in the yard.
He was a devoted family man that will be loved and missed always. Harold was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Mary; and a brother, Donald Ayres. On July 19, 1952, he was united in marriage to Beverly J. Klomp Ayres who survives.
Also surviving, 2 daughters, Wanda Lester Lennemann and Bonnie John VerMeulen all of Kalamazoo; 3 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Charles Dawn Ayres of Florida and David Christina Ayres of Kentucky; a sister-in-law, Gloria Ayres of Kalamazoo; and several nieces and nephews.
