Harold O. “Hoppy” Pelletier, 74 of Linda Lane Stonington, CT, died peacefully on Friday February 22, 2008 at the Westerly Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Nancy (Harris) Pelletier.
Born in New London, CT, on August 3, 1933 he was the son of the late Ovila and Mary (McFarland) Pelletier.
Mr. Pelletier served in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Pelletier worked at Electric Boat in Groton, CT for many years as a ship fitter and retired as a Supervisor. He was a Deacon in the Second Baptist Church in North Stonington, CT.
Besides his loving wife of 54 years he will be sadly missed by his 3 children, Cindy Reynolds of Missouri, Ellie Pelletier of Pawcatuck, CT and Norman Pelletier of New Port News, VA. He also leaves two sisters, Dorothy Hayes and Noella Fichera both of Groton, CT. He was the devoted grandfather of 9 and great grandfather of 7.
He was predeceased by his son Daniel L. Pelletier and his sisters, Cecil Street, Alberta Piacenza and his brother Robert Author.
