 HAROLD M. RYNARD, SR.

 

Harold M. “Pompy” Rynard, Sr., went quietly to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 14, 2012 with his family by his side.

 

Born Oct. 5, 1928 in Carlisle, he was a son of the late John M. and Beulah (Oiler) Rynard.

 

Mr. Rynard retired in 1996 from Cincinnati Milacron, Carlisle.

 

For many years Pompy was a butcher in Cumberland County and had worked for many farmers in the area.  He was an avid hunter, a diehard Baltimore Orioles and Ravens fan and loved being with his family.

 

He was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Carlisle.  He was also a member of the Carlisle American Legion Post #101.  He had served his country during the Korean War in the US Army.

 

He was preceded in death by a son:  Harold M. “Ness” Rynard, Jr., a sister:  Doris Jumper and two grandsons:  Adam and Anson Rynard.

 

Surviving are his wife:  Evelyn (Rourke) Rynard; a son:  Daniel Rynard of Glendale, AZ; a daughter:  Dawn Nguyen of Carlisle; a brother:  Donald Rynard of Carlisle and a sister:  Joyce Potts, also of Carlisle;  seven grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
