Harold Milton Bloecher, 87, of Westminster, formerly of Arbutus, died Sunday, May 15, 2011 at the Carroll Hospital Center. Born December 26, 1923 to the late Frederick and Sarah Eckard Bloecher. He is survived by his life long friend and beloved companion, Barbara Holtzman of Westminster.
He served in the Navy during World War II and was a life-long member of the DAV and the Dewey Lowman American Legion No. 109. Following his military service he worked for the Social Security Administration in Woodlawn for 34 years. After retiring he enjoyed traveling and animals; especially horses.
Besides his companion he is survived by sister Ruth Rossman and spouse Bernard of Catonsville, niece and nephew Joanne Keys of Sarasota, Fl. And John Rossman of Silver Spring.
