Harold L. Jacobson died peacefully on Sunday July 3, 2011 at Community Medical Center at the age of 90. He was a man who wore several hats of service to mankind as a dependable servant of God. He was a communicant of St. Barnabas RC Church in Bayville, NJ.
He was a Eucharistic Minister in church and at nursing homes. He served as an usher at church, played in the Bell Choir and played his Euphonium at Salvation Army Services. As a volunteer for many years at the Ocean County Relief Services he assisted two very dear friends in their needs also volunteering there. In his last days he said, “I tried to help whenever I could.” What a legacy!!! He had a strong heart.
Surviving is his wife of 40 years Mary Ann (nee Schmidt) Jacobson. One daughter Joyce and her husband James Langham of Payne, OH. One brother Emil Jacobson of Raymond, NH. Three sisters, Dora Randall of PA, Agnes Christenson of Monument, CO, and Ellen Engstrom of Spencer, Mass. Three grandchildren Julie, Sandi, and Jason. Two great grandchildren Bailie and Kirsten.
