Harold Joseph Moisant, 79, of LaSalle, passed away Friday, July 5, 2019, at Heritage Healthcare Center in Peru. Mr. Moisant was born May 16, 1940, in Chicago to Harold William and Vina Mae (Evans) Moisant.
He married Joyce M. Stoklosa on December 17, 1973, at the City Hall at Daley Plaza in Chicago. Mr. Moisant worked as a stockman for 11 years at Carson-Pirie-Scott in Evergreen Park and later worked many years as a greeter at Wal-Mart in Peru. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan. He enjoyed puzzles, solitaire, and country music.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Joyce; four children, April, Brian (Amanda), Amy, and Kevin Moisant all of LaSalle; five grandchildren, Michael Manahan, Briane Manahan-Moisant, Elicia Lake, Mandy Moisant and one more on the way, Bentley; one sister, Betty Moisant of Schererville, IN; two step-sisters, Julie and Mary and one step-brother, Bill and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson, Tyler Keith Moisant, and nine brothers and sisters
