Harold Joe Gruber, 78, passed away August 1, 2013 in Canon City, Colorado. He was born July 29, 1935 in Bertha Township, Minnesota to Louis and Cora (Beiries) Gruber. A veteran of the U.S. Army, Harold served from 1955 to 1957. After his enlistment was completed, Joe met Donna Shoaf, the lady he would spend the next 53 years with living in Penrose and Canon City. He retired form the Colorado Department of Transportation after 30 years as a maintenance supervisor.
