Harold James Bach, 87, of Chattanooga died December 31, 2006 surrounded by his daughters, Mary and Judy. Born April 2, 1920 in Coffeyville, Kansas, Mr. Bach served in the infantry as a Captain in World War II and went through all the campaigns in Frances, Belgium, Luxemburg and Germany. After the war, Mr. Bach went to work for Exxon Oil Co. His work transferred him to New York, Houston and all parts in between. He retired in 1972 and bought a farm in Kentucky where he remained for 12 years raising chickens, cows, horses and pigs. He returned to Chattanooga in 1980. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Wilma Allen Bach whom he married in England in 1943. Survivors are his daughters, Mary FitzZaland of Victoria, B.C. and Judy Klink of Oregon; son, James Bach of Campbellsville, KY. The family would like to thank the wonderful friends who became like family at Carestone Assisted Living. The would like to especially thank Sandra Patterson from Adventa Hospice for her loving care of their father in his last nine months.
