Harold was born on May 7, 1927, to Albert and Wilhelmina (Busboom) Busboom, at his home in rural Lincoln, NE. He attended school through the eighth grade at District 80 in rural Lincoln, NE. On May 23, 1948, Harold was united in marriage to Helen Merrill at the United Methodist Church in Pleasant Dale, NE. He farmed for many years until his retirement in 1982. Harold served as a Seward County Commissioner for eight years.
