Harold Freeman Hodges, 67, of 6108 US Hwy 301 South, Hope Mills, died Thursday in the Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Fayetteville.
Mr. Hodges was the son of the late Zelma Allen Hodges and Willie “Scotch” Hodges and was a retired private investigator. He was a member of Mars Hill Presbyterian Church in Hope Mills.
He is survived by a daughter, Caroline Hodges Melvin of Hope Mills; 2 sons, Harold F. Esters of Tampa, Fl., and Dwight U. Threet of Fayetteville. Sisters, Willie G. Martin, Jacqueline P. Waters, Cynthia Garrett, Jean LaHuffman and Ruby Richardson all of Fayetteville, Marion Y. Hodges and Faye Fikes both of Stone Mountain, Ga. A brother, Allen Hodges of Randalltown, Md. 7 grandchildren.
