Harold L. Dobbs, age 84, of Berryville, died February 23, 2011. He was born April 28, 1926 in Abilene, TX to the late Reverend Jimmy and Lily (Crow) Dobbs. On August 15, 1947 he was united in marriage to Wanda Cagle. A graduate of Howard Payne University of TX, Harold had a Masters Degree in Education with a minor in Bible. He retired from his career as school superintendent at Jim-Ned High School in Tuscola, TX. He had also owned a convenience store in TX and enjoyed raising cattle and horses and working on his farm. He was a devoted family man and had served in several capacities of the church. After moving to Carroll County he became a member of Green Forest Assembly Of God Church. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Wanda Dobbs, of the home, daughter, Nancy Noakes and husband, Clyde of Berryville, son, Tracy Dobbs and wife Dana of Corsicana, TX, sister, Ruth Hansen of Tyler, TX, granddaughter, Lori McCance and husband Perry of Berryville, grandson, Neil Noakes and wife Kim of Weatherford, TX, grandson, Jonathan Moring and wife Amanda of North Carolina, granddaughter Cari Carlson and husband Wade of Brennan, TX granddaughter, Jodi Manning and husband, Ken, of Waco, TX grandson Shawn Rogers and wife Shawn of Tyler, TX, 19 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter. Besides his parents Harold is also preceded in death by his brothers, Doug and Junior Dobbs and one sister, Vivian Rutledge.
