West Bend…Harley D. Bruellman, 93 of West Bend died May 12, 2020 at the West Bend Care Center. Harley Bruellman, the son of George and Clara Gerber Bruellman was born March 24, 1927 in Algona, Iowa. He was raised and received his education in Ottosen, IA where he attended country school. On March 12, 1950 he was united in marriage with Adele Rose Esslinger and to this union 4 daughters and 2 sons were born. Harley was baptized along with his wife Adele, on August 30, 1954 at the Apostolic Christian Church where he was a faithful member. The couple resided on their farm near Ottosen before moving to West Bend in 1976. Harley was an Army Veteran and served his country during the Korean Conflict. His survivors include his children, Cheryl (Dave) Morrow of Fort Dodge, IA, Mavis Ann (Jeff) McGuire of Council Bluffs, IA, Dave (Yvonne) Bruellman of West Bend, IA, DeAnn (Roger) Wuthrich of Bloomfield, IA, Deb (Jerry) Larson of Larchwood, IA, and Larry (Teresa) Bruellman of Naples, FL; 21 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and a sister Elaine (Don) Blasey of Livermore, IA. Harley is preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter Jennifer Bruellman and great grandchildren Kimber Stuerman and Owen Meyer, as well as brothers Donald, Eugene and Melvin.
