Clarey, Harlan Dale Passed away on September 27, 2015 at Park Place Assisted Living. Age 88. Harlan was born in Bay City, MI on November 11, 1926, the son of the late Edwin M. and Louise (Simmons) Clarey.

He served his country in the United States Army during World War II in the Pacific Theatre. He was employed as a Senior Lab Technician for Dow Chemical Corporation. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Auburn, where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher.

Harlan was married to Betty Clarey on June 7, 1952. They eventually settled in Auburn and raised four sons on the Clarey family farm. Betty preceded him in death on March 11, 2015.

Harlan is survived by Dale Clarey of Gering, Nebraska, Keith (Beth) Clarey of Wellington, CO, Patrick (Colleen) Clarey of Scotts, MI and Dr. Timothy (Renee) Clarey of Dallas, TX; nine grandchildren, Tadd, Ethan, Ryan, Erin, Patricia, Brendan, Logan, Katherine and Meghan; two step-grandchildren, Ashley and Hailey; and five great-grandchildren; one sister and two brothers, Beryl Rytlewski of Frankenmuth, Earl Clarey of Midland, MI and Don (Sharon) Clarey of Dalton, GA.

He was preceded in death by one daughter-in-law, Lana Clarey.
