Hannah was born November 20, 1925, in Hocking, IA, to Clifford and Margaret (Johnston) Corbett. She married J. Francis “Franny” Weil on September 13, 1947 in Waukee where they made their home and raised their two daughters, Shirley and Vicki.

Hannah was the treasurer for the City of Waukee for thirty years, retiring in 1989. She also spent time as the city librarian and worked at Nizzi’s Grocery Store in Waukee. She was instrumental in establishing the Waukee Police Department Christmas Food Drive for identified families in the Waukee School District. This program has continued helping children and families from inception in 1984 to today.

Hannah was named Waukee Citizen of the Year in 1999 and was involved with the Waukee American Cancer Society Relay For Life. She was an active member of St. Boniface Catholic Church through the Scripture Study Group and volunteering wherever needed. Her greatest joys were her faith, her lifetime friends, and family, especially watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren activities, and just playing and growing together.

(Hayli) Irvin, and Travis (Ashley) Irvin, eight great-grandchildren, Elijah, Lydia and Emmett Irvin, Boston Onstot and Brookson and Beckett Irvin, and Barron and Bellin Irvin; and two sisters, Georgina Gionet and Mary McGoige.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Francis and siblings, Jane Cunningham, Judy Corbett, Richard Corbett, and David Corbett.
