Mrs. Beck was born in Boston, MA, March 10, 1946, a daughter of the late Max and Margaret (Falwell) Kramer. She attended Boston schools, Northeastern University where she graduated cum laude and attained her Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology and graduated from the New England Baptist Hospital School of Medical Technology. Mrs. Beck served as an assistant chief of Medical Technology at Norwalk Hospital and was also employed at the Danbury Hospital.
