He lived in San Francisco 20 years moving there from N. Dakota, previously living in Burrillville.
He earned his masters degree in English Literiture from the University of N. Dakota in 1986 and graduated Burrillville High School in 1973.
Peter was a US Air Force peacetime veteran.
Survivors, besides his wife and parents, include a son Huston Haffner of San Francisco,
a brother David Haffner of North Smithfield, and a sister, Elizabeth Catone of Windham, N.H.
