Hubert Lee Wilcox, age 71, passed away Monday, September 3, 2018, at his home in Sharpsburg, GA surrounded by his family. He was born on December 27, 1946, in Clarksburg, WV to the late Thurman William Wilcox and Evelena Morrison Wilcox. Lee, as he would introduce himself, had many passions in life. His faith was always very important to him and he did not mind sharing the good word with others by teaching and reciting whole chapters of scripture. He was very active at Welcome Road Baptist Church where he was a long-time member. After his faith came his family and his love for being a master carpenter and woodworker. If you were to ask his family, he never met a stranger and was loved by all who knew him. He will be dearly missed by so many friends and family. Along with his parents, Lee is preceded in death by his sister Minnie Brown.
He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Wilcox; children, Brian Garrett and his wife Sherry, Dina Whittington, Josh Alexander and his wife Stacey; grandchildren, Brian Garrett, Jr., Julian Whittington, Bella Pastor, Makenzie Alexander, Joshua Alexander, Jr. and great-grandchild Corbin Garrett. Lee is also survived by his siblings, Peg Turner of Goodhope, WV, Dorothy Mills of Bridgeport, WV., Lewis Wilcox of Akron, OH., Louise Bowser of Akron, OH., John Wilcox of Lakeside Park, KY. And numerous nieces and nephews.
