H.G. (Hiram Gilbert) Pratt, age 82, of Woodland Drive, Morehead, a well-known minister and businessman, won the promotion for which he had worked a lifetime on Thursday, May 3, 2018 when he passed peacefully from this world at his home.
Born August 18, 1935, in Hindman, he was the son of the late Fred T. and Peggy Combs Pratt. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Fred T. Pratt, Jr. and an infant brother, Joe Pratt, of whom he was slightly envious for having been “raised in Heaven”.
H.G. is survived by his loving wife, Ruth Anne “Annie” Murphy Pratt, whom he wed August 24, 1958; two sons, Mark Pratt of Indianapolis, IN and Todd (Sanchia) Pratt of Morehead; two daughters, Shannon Gottke of Bowling Green and Erin Miller of Clearfield; and eight grandchildren, Jordan, Ashley and Max Gottke and Gaige, Tanner, Hunter, Hayden and Hudson Pratt.
